The best of 2022 and a peek at what's ahead

Here at Jobber, we know the level of care and effort that home service professionals like you put into your business. Throughout the past year, we’ve been hard at work building and improving tools that will help your business continue to run smoothly, so you can continue to focus on making it a success.

Here's a quick recap at the biggest updates from 2022 and a sneak peek at some of the things we’re working on for you!


Run your business from anywhere 📱

The Jobber app has been completely rebuilt to better power your day-to-day. We plan to continue this momentum into 2023, with the below features rolling out shortly to all users.

Find and capture work details more effectively

Finding the work you’re looking for has never been easier with new search filters throughout the app. Plus, the new Search tab (formerly Client tab) lets you search through all your clients, quotes, jobs, and invoices at once, making it easier to find what you need.

Some other improvements we delivered:

  • Job form alerts ensure any empty job forms are filled out before a visit is marked as completed
  • Image uploads over a cellular connection are up to 300% faster so you can spend less time waiting and more time actioning work

Better visibility into your schedule

Keeping a pulse on how your team is progressing through the day is easier than ever. You can access your team members' schedule from any schedule view, including list view which shows all their active timers.

Some other improvements we delivered:

  • Access important visit details for the day, even when you’re in poor service areas
  • 3-day and weekly schedule views that help you make faster scheduling decisions on the go

Smoother customer experience

If clients try to call your Jobber text messaging number, you don’t want them to reach a dead-end. Now, those calls will be automatically forwarded to your business phone number, so you don’t lose a call – or opportunity.

Some other improvements we delivered:

  • Keep your clients informed by quickly sending booking confirmations from the app
  • Control who from your team receives email replies and notifications so the right person is informed and can take action



More helpful apps and tools in the App Marketplace 🔗

Integrate your favorite apps and software seamlessly with Jobber. Here are some of the newest additions and updates available in the App Marketplace.

  • Let Thumbtack match you with the jobs you want, then seamlessly manage these clients and track jobs from start to finish all from Jobber.
  • The new Report Scheduler App gets reports from Jobber delivered to your inbox on a daily, weekly, or monthly schedule.
  • Referrals are the cheapest, fastest way to land new clients. LoyalAs automates your referral program so you get quality leads in Jobber that close at a higher rate.
  • You can now sync CompanyCam photos to every stage of your Jobber workflow: from requests and quotes, to jobs and invoices.

We love all the feedback you share with us about how we can make Jobber better. So here’s a sneak peek at just a few of the improvements we are tackling this year based on what we’ve heard from you.

  • You need an easy way to navigate through your day while on the go. Using a map view on the mobile app will help you locate your daily appointments and stay on track.
  • Unexpected delays happen. Help better manage your client’s expectations by setting an arrival window rather than a fixed arrival time.
  • You need to ensure every job you take on is profitable. Tracking job costs and profit margins for each job helps you make informed decisions so you can maximize your profitability.
  • Booking new jobs can be a lot of admin work. Offering your services online means that your clients can book directly into your calendar–no phone tag required.

The CompanyCam integration lets you sync detailed photos from requests and quotes, to jobs and invoices!

When you use CompanyCam photos from start to finish, you save time by keeping your team aligned on the work that needs to be done.

  • Requests and quotes: Use photos to help your team, and clients, better understand the scope of work.
  • Jobs: Capture the details from every job site and keep your team, and clients, informed along the way.
  • Invoices: Show before and after photos of the work your team has accomplished that will wow your clients.

Find your work more easily with filters in the updated mobile app

Our new filters make it easier to find the work you’re looking for while on the go.

These updates will apply to users on the updated app experience:

  1. New status filters in the Clients tab
  2. New filters in the Work tab of the client profile
  3. New filters in the visits section on the Job page

In the Clients tab, you can now filter clients, requests, quotes, jobs, and invoices by status. This makes it easier for you to find and take action on specific types of work, such as unscheduled jobs or past-due invoices, or follow up with leads.

We heard loud and clear that for some businesses, having everything in one list in the client profile’s Work tab was not efficient. To make it easier and faster for you to find the specific item you're looking for, you can now filter by the type of work, such as quotes or invoices.

When you have multiple visits for the same job, finding a specific one can be tricky. If you have more than five visits for a job, you will be able to filter the visits section on the Job page by unscheduled, late, upcoming, and more. This way, unscheduled and late visits can be tracked down and followed up on more quickly.

The Clients tab on the mobile app is accessible to admins, owners, and employees with the user permissions enabled to "view clients on their Jobber menu".

Control who should receive email replies from your clients

Easily manage your team’s email communications by designating who gets email responses and notifications through Settings > Email & Text Messages > Email Reply Settings.

Set where replies or notifications should go by selecting Company email, eligible users or sender of email.

To allow for more flexibility, users can also change the reply-to address for a specific email to be different from the default email reply settings when they compose their email on Jobber Online or the mobile app.

Easily communicate with clients on-the-go using the updated app

These updates will apply to users on the updated app experience:

We’ve introduced a few updates that help you manage communications more smoothly while on-the-go. Through the app, you can now send booking confirmations for any upcoming jobs. Additionally, you can now easily call or send a two-way text to your client from their profile, quote, job, visit or invoice. This helps you stay on task by having your client’s details handy.


With two-way text messaging , you and your team can text with customers while on-the-go, knowing that conversations are stored in Jobber for everyone’s reference. Two-way text messaging is available on the Grow plan in the United States, Canada, and United Kingdom.

Make faster scheduling decisions in the updated app

These updates will apply to users on the updated app experience:

Scheduling in the updated app has never been easier. At a glance, you can now see your availability across multiple days with the new three-day and weekly schedule view. Narrow in on your schedule or, using the filter options, select which team members’ schedules to look at. The team member filter now applies to all schedule views.

The list view has also been improved. In addition to seeing the progress indicator for the day, you can also see any active timers your team members may have running. This view should help provide you with a snapshot of how the day is going.

Get your work done more easily in the updated app

These updates will apply to users on the updated app experience:

We’ve made multiple updates to help you get your work done faster. You can now get directions to your job site using your favorite maps app by tapping the direction icon on the visit screen. Photos now upload more quickly, giving you more time to focus on delivering results for your client.

You can keep track of today's visits even in areas with poor service. In areas with limited service, the updated app displays visit information from when you were last online. And finally, all line item images added to a quote will now show up in the corresponding visit, so you can quickly see the work that needs to be done.


With line item images, you can show your clients a preview of the products and services that you are offering them. Line item images are available on the Grow plan.

Stay on top of job forms in the updated app

These updates will apply to users on the updated app experience:

With new job form alerts, your team will never forget to fill out a job form again. We’ll send a reminder to anyone who attempts to complete a visit with a blank job form. Plus, we’ve introduced a job form timestamp that shows when a job form was completed and by who. This way, you’ll be able to see if a job form was completed at a glance.


Job forms help capture important job details, standardize workflows and processes, and hold your team accountable for the work that they do. This feature is available on Connect and Grow plans.

See all email and text settings in one view

Easily edit all your communications from one convenient place. All email and text messaging templates and notifications have been moved to Settings > Emails and Text Messages. These settings are grouped into Requests, Quotes, Jobs, Invoices, and General, giving you full control over your client’s experience at every stage of the work.

To allow more flexibility, you can now customize the reminder schedules and delivery methods separately for assessments and visits.

With these updates, two-way text messaging settings are now located under Settings > Two-Way Text Messaging.


Text messaging is available on select plans in Canada, United States, and United Kingdom. All email messaging templates and notifications will be moved to Settings > Emails where text messaging is not available.

Send manual appointment reminders via text message

If you prefer to send appointment reminders manually instead of automating them, you now have an option to send those reminders via text message.

From the Jobber Desktop App, open your calendar and select ‘view details’ on an upcoming assessment or visit. Under ‘More Actions’ you’ll now see ‘Text Reminder’ in addition to ‘Email Reminder’.


Text messaging is available on select plans in Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom.
